In a peculiarly British finding, Which? have confirmed what perhaps we knew all along;
Marks & Spencer may not always get their buying right but when it comes to undies, they’re just not ‘pants’ at all.
Outstripping Asda, Tesco and Calvin Klein, M&S manage to consistently out-gun both ends of the market, most notably with their £5 Real Cool Cotton trunks.
Apparently Which? slung them all in the washing machine [presumably turned to an environmentally- friendly 30 degrees C] ten times and then did the window test for shape and colour [again presumably original colour].
Whilst the budget offerings from Asda and Tesco at roughly a third of the price were economic, their gussets lost the plot soonest.
But at 4 times the M&S price, Calvin Klein’s Body Trunk suffered all-important leg shrinkage and horror of horrors, bobbling.
What’s under your wallet?
