Leila Deen an environmental campaigner opposed to the expansion of Heathrow Airport, threw a cup of green custard over business secretary Peter Mandelson today as he arrived at a meeting to discuss low carbon issues.
An angry Mandelson stormed away to clean himself up before appearing in a more relaxed mood to face waiting reporters where he said;
“I don’t quite know what point she was making because she was so busy throwing what seemed like green soup or something in my face that she failed to tell me what the protest was about. But as you can see it wasn’t paint and I’ve come through it intact.”
Deen, a member of ‘Plane Stupid‘ said that she was protesting against the governments hypocritical policies on climate change.
