UK Business:Vodafone and O2 bid for T-Mobile UK

The Sunday Times has reported that mobile phone groups Vodafone and O2 have both tabled bids believed to be in the region of £3.5bn, to purchase the T-Mobile UK business from Deutsche Telecom.

‘Giant’ oil discovery in Gulf of Mexico

Oil supplier BP have announced a ‘giant’ oil discovery in the Gulf of Mexico reaffirming the area’s importance to the Western based oil majors.
BP said in a statement on Wednesday that it had made the find at its Tiber Prospect in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The well was drilled in Keathley Canyon block 102.
