Anger as Corus announce 3,500 job cuts

Steelmaker Corus has confirmed that it will axe 2,500 jobs in the UK and a further 1,000 worldwide as the global downturn sees demand fall by a third over the last year.  Steel prices have also dropped by half over the last six months.

AIG ends Manchester United shirt sponsorship deal

Honda Swindon Factory to halt production for four months

The Honda UK plant in Swindon has announced further suspension of production, due to the global slowdown and reduced interest in demand for new cars. The company had announced in November 2008 that it would close the factory for two months from the end of January 2009.

Apple shares tumble amid CEO health concern
